TV Show Music: Song from Chuck Season 2 Premiere
Chuck came back this week. What a strong opener it was. That Josh Schwartz knows just the right music to use in his TV shows. Last year we saw Band of Horses used to a pleasing effect. In the premiere we got a taste of an equally great track from an even lesser known band.
The song in question played as Casey stalked Chuck in his home, ready to fulfill his mission. The song is called “The Twist” by Frightened Rabbit. Check out the album, all the songs are really good:
And here are the lyrics:
Do the twist in the twisting outfit
The loose tie with, the loose limp wrists
Lift your dress enough to show me those shins
Let your hair stick to your foreheadDid you blush then when our hips touched?
I can’t tell, you’re already red
Am i right? you give me the signs
Is that pink mist or just lit dry iceYou twist and whisper the wrong name
I don’t care nor do my ears
Twist yourself around me
I need company I need human heat
I need human heatLets pretend I’m attractive and then
You won’t mind, you can twist for a while
It’s the night, I can be who you like
And I’ll quietly leave before it gets lightSo twist and whisper the wrong name
I don’t care nor do my ears
Twist yourself around me
I need company i need human heat
I need human heatI need human heat
I need human heat
I need human heat
I need–Twist and whisper the right name
I’m David, please
Twist as if you’re just like me
You need company, you need human heat
You need human heat

Hi I have noticed you know a lot of music off of commericial and shows, so I am gonna throw something at you and I hope you can give me an answer cause its driving me nuts. I want to figure out what the song is off of the new jcpenney commercial, its the new holiday one. Some of the lyrics are:
give just a little of yourself to me,
my heart is in the moment,
my hands are here to give to you.
I cant find anything on it anywhere. Thanks
Hey there!
I heard that song on the commercial today and I really want to know what it is too!!!
So anyone, if you know anything about the song PLEASE post! I love it!
Thanks!
Right! I’m looking for it too! So far I’ve discovered nothing.
Give just a little of yourself to me,
My heart is in the moment,
My hand are here to give to you….
Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor? What song?
I know i really like this song and I want to buy it on iTunes. Please somebody tell us what it’s called! I looked Regina Spektor up on iTunes but none of her songs were the one I’m looking for! Help!
Regina Spektor sings a song called “Music Box” which is in a completely different JCP commercial (It goes, “life inside a music box ain’t easy…”).
I don’t really think the “give just a little…” song is by her, though. The voice doesn’t sound the same, and also the styles are quite different.
But I too wish I could figure out who did sing it!
I contacted JC Penney’s advertising department by email and got this response regarding the song in their new holiday tv ad…
“Hello
Thank you for contacting us online. Thank you for your interest in this ad. This song was created specifically for our advertising campaign by a company called Hess and Kramer.
- Emily Florio”
Sad, huh?!
(
Oh my god! noooooo! I have been looking for that song everywhere! ))))):
You guys can listen to it here. Better than nothing, I suppose.
Ingrid Michaelson.
I have been trying to find out about this jingle for a month now and had no luck. I always thought it was Ingrid Michaelson. I love her music. Is it secretly her?
It is Nadia Fay, “Give Love”
I am gonna throw something at you and I hope you can give me an answer cause its driving me nuts. I want to figure out what the song is off of the new jcpenney commercial, its the new holiday one.
